The San Francisco Regional Office of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission has openings for attorney positions within the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE) staff. Candidates must possess a J.D. degree and be an active member of the bar in good standing (any jurisdiction). In addition, candidates must possess at least one year post J.D. experience as a practicing attorney.
Duties of an OCIE attorney include participating in planning and conducting securities compliance examinations, developing reports of findings, and providing recommendations for examinations; and conducting research, review and analysis of a variety of documents related to investment adviser, private fund, and mutual fund examinations, and developing recommendations to resolve problems or issues encountered. Salary range is $102,691 to $168,892 DOE
