The ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of US and international patent prosecution. Responsibilities of this position will include creating, revising and filing US application documents and corresponding with clients and foreign associates. Additional responsibilities include tasks related to the preparation and handling of all related formalities, such as Declarations, Powers of Attorney, Assignments, Formal Drawings, Information Disclosure Statements, Extensions of Time, Preliminary Amendments, and Missing Parts/Requirements. Applicants should be knowledgeable in processing Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee communications, verification of Patent Term Adjustment and Letter Patents. Applicant should also have knowledge of the filing process for international, PCT and National Phase applications, corresponding with foreign associates, processing formal documents and other duties related to international patents.
A Bachelor degree or a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program plus 2-3 years of IP Patent experience is desired.
