We are conducting an exclusive GENERAL COUNSEL search. Our client, a prestigious multi-billion dollar corporation, is seeking a GENERAL COUNSEL for one of its subsidiaries located in Anchorage, Alaska.

Our client is seeking a corporate attorney with a minimum of 6 years of solid CORPORATE experience to handle a wide range of transactions.

The GC will be the sole legal officer for the subsidiary and a key member of the business leadership team. The attorney hired will work closely with the company's dynamic leaders and business units and report directly to the CEO.

Must have stellar credentials from top tier law school and national law firm and/or in-house experience. Must have stable work history.

Requirements:

A minimum of six (6) years broad GENERAL CORPORATE experience, excellent academic credentials from top tier law school and major law firm experience mandatory. Must have stable work history.

Technical or engineering background a plus. FERC or regulatory experience a plus.

Attorney hired will manage all the legal affairs of the subsidiary including assisting in the organization and direction of corporate activities to protect the Corporation's legal interests and to facilitate the achievement of the Corporation's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· mergers and acquisitions
· drafting and reviewing business contracts and agreements
· research and analysis of laws, regulations, and legislation
· assisting in corporate governance matters
· supervising outside counsel
· managing litigation
· working with HR
· handling a wide range of other matters

Compensation: Very competitive base salary and generous bonuses, and benefits package. Employer pays relocation.
