Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team. Direct experience with drafting, reviewing and counseling on health and welfare plans is a pre-requisite, while experience with executive compensation and incentive arrangements and employee qualified retirement plans is not required but is helpful. A thorough working knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, COBRA, Mental Health Parity Act, other federal laws impacting group health plans is required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of prior big law firm experience, as well as excellent academics, legal research, writing and analytical skills. Candidates with a LLM in Tax, specializing in the area of employee benefits will also be considered.
