This position will assist the members of the Strategic Pricing & Analysis team in the preparation and analysis of the Firm's historical work in order to be able to advise, propose, create and subsequently assist in the evaluation of the non-traditional value-based Fee Agreements (generally referred to as “AFAs”) of the Firm. It is anticipated that this role will be the Lead Pricing resource for the Litigation group. This includes, but is not limited to: modeling proposed fee arrangements (including preparation of Litigation budgets), producing a summary of various types of fee arrangements in the Firm portfolio (such as fixed fees, capped fees, contingent fees, success fees, etc.), maintaining and updating the databases used to track such work, curating work product to assist in the development of new AFAs in order to readily disseminate fee arrangement information to Firm personnel, assisting the Senior Analysts, and performing day-to-day administration and monitoring tasks associated with client alternative fee agreements.
Essential Functions
Work with Litigation Partners to build pricing proposals, to include defining/refining scope and building budgets by ABA Task codes.
Undertake the preparation of analysis and reports on fee agreements at the Firm, departmental, practice and client level including analysis of prior work, estimates and leverage.
The production of compelling charts and dashboards to clearly illustrate the analysis and “tell a story”.
Work with the Finance and Marketing departments to collect and collate such information as may be needed so that the information may be analyzed as required e.g. by sector, geography, work type etc.
Update and maintain the database of all value-based and alternative fee arrangements that the Firm has proposed or executed including working to relate that database to all other pertinent information sources.
Produce and run pricing scenario modelling for future bids by combining bid specific criteria with prior work models.
Support business development (as it pertains to pricing arrangements) through the giving of advice, preparation of RFP responses and other presentations, and participation in presentations (internally and directly to clients).
Assist in the identification, at a Firm, departmental, office or practice group level, high potential areas of growth, trends, concerns, improved profitability or efficiency gains to target for evaluation. Provide input for prioritizing effo
