The Houston office of BakerHostetler has an immediate opening for a Litigation Staff Attorney with significant Oil & Gas experience. The successful candidate must be able manage cases on his/her own and be able to assist on cases managed by others. The duties include the following:

Assisting with energy industry litigation matters, including personal injury, contract disputes, royalty disputes and other general commercial litigation.
Drafting of motions and briefs and responding to same.
Reviewing and analyzing documents and evidence.
Assisting with preparation for depositions and hearings and, at times, taking depositions and handling hearings.
Managing cases by contributing to overall strategy, case planning, deadline management, and other litigation tasks necessary to maintain consistent and high quality work product.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Law degree and Texas bar admission required.
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
First Chair trial experience preferred.
Must be able to work within a team environment and communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing, with clients and other team members
