The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in all phases of international patent prosecution. Though the focus is primarily international patent prosecution, the ideal candidate must also have knowledge of US patent prosecution processes. Responsibilities of this position include preparation and filing of PCT applications, National Phase entry, Validations, US National Phase and all formalities related to international applications, including correspondence with the foreign associates. US patent prosecution responsibilities include filing Provisional, Utility, and Continuation applications, preparation and handling of related US formalities such as Declarations, Power of Attorneys, Assignments, Formal Drawings, Information Disclosure Statements, Preliminary Amendments, and Missing Parts/Requirements, as well as client communications. Applicants must be knowledgeable in processing Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee Communications, verification of Patent Term Adjustment and Letters Patent. Applicants must also have experience with filing via EFS-Web. A minimum of 2+ years of US patent prosecution experience and of 3+ years international patent experience required. requirements and USPTO practices.
