COVID-19 hit Holyoke Soldiers' Home in March of 2020 when most of us were learning the new term "social distancing" and had no awareness of asymptomatic positives. While the global medical community scrambled to play catch-up and understand this world-wide pandemic, it raged through Soldiers' Home and killed 76 veterans; 84 more tested positive and recovered.
