Treasury Releases Final Regulations on Carbon Capture Credits

On January 6, 2021, the Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued final regulations (the Final Regulations) under section 45Q of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (Section 45Q), which allows a credit for carbon oxide sequestration (the Section 45Q Credit).
