Carlton Fields Jorden Burt is seeking an associate to join its Hartford litigation practice group. Although recent law school graduates will be considered, one to three years of commercial litigation experience is preferable. An understanding of employment law, including familiarity with the ADA, Title VII, FLSA and ADEA, and procedure/practice experience before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities are a plus. Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills are required. The ideal candidate will also have judicial clerkship experience, will be admitted to practice in Connecticut, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while being able to work individually, on client matters in an environment where drive and client service are valued.
