Orrick is looking for a Junior Associate with two to four years experience in trademark prosecution matters to join our Trademark, Copyright and False Advertising Practice Group in our San Francisco office. The candidate must possess excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information both orally and in writing. The Associate would have direct client contact shortly after joining Orrick so excellent interpersonal skills are a must. The Associate will receive direct supervision from the various trademark attorneys in the firm.

Qualifications:

JD from accredited law school required.
Excellent academic credentials required.
Membership to the State Bar of California required.
Two to four years prior trademark prosecution experience required including experience in:
Worldwide portfolio management
Clearing and searching new trademarks in the U.S. and worldwide
Trademark counseling
Worldwide policing and enforcement
Preparation of trademark licensing, coexistence and other relevant agreements
Trademark Trial and Appeal Board litigation
Filing trademarks and supervising paralegals
Strong knowledge of Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Manual of Procedure.
Must possess excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented.
Highly motivated and proactive.
