Brief Description:

The Los Angeles office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking an associate with 4+ years of relevant experience to join our transactional Music Group in our Business, Finance & Tax Division.

Our Music Group represents a broad range of entertainment companies, executives, recording artists, producers and songwriters in the areas of recorded music, music publishing, concert tours, catalog acquisitions and contracts with minors.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated transactional experience specializing in the music industry. Experience negotiating and preparing recording and production agreements, live performance agreements, Internet service agreements, and all manner of publishing , producer and management agreements preferred.

Requirements:

4+ years solid transactional music experience at a top law firm or entertainment company
Outstanding academic credentials
Excellent writing and negotiating skills
California Bar Membership in good standing
