Job Description:

Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP seeks a highly qualified associate attorney to join the Real Estate Practice Group in the firm's Raleigh office.

The Land Use and Zoning Team involves a wide range of challenging and complex issues, including obtaining and litigating local, state and federal land use permits and approvals, such as annexations, rezonings, site plan approvals, conditional permits, variances, water quality regulations and subdivision approvals for a variety of types of real estate projects. In this practice, the attorney will be representing private developers, large landowners and local governments.

Job Requirements:

• Zero to three years' experience in the areas of land use and local (county/municipal) government law
• Demonstrated understanding of real property law
• Demonstrated ability to handle significant responsibility
• Excellent academic credentials, oral and writing skills and references
