Cooley LLP has opportunities available in the Credit Finance practice of its San Francisco office; California licensed first year attorneys may apply but attorneys who have completed 1 to 4 years of finance experience at a comparable law firm are especially encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have (i) experience in secured transactions representing borrowers and/or lenders; (ii) a working knowledge of syndicated financing transactions or financing transactions for venture backed companies; (iii) experience in closing transactions and (iv) familiarity with drafting documents in connection with financial transactions. Knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, secured transactions and general corporate law are also preferred. All candidates must have a JD or the equivalent and have demonstrated high academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and have a high level of attention to detail
