DLA Piper has an exciting opportunity for an attorney to join its Pro Bono team. Working with the firm's Pro Bono Counsel, Director and Counsel for US Pro Bono Programs and US Pro Bono Partner, this role will focus on developing pro bono opportunities for firm lawyers in select geographic locations across the United States, as well as international pro bono work through the firm's affiliated nonprofit dedicated to pro bono in underserved regions around the world, New Perimeter. This role also will include some opportunity to represent pro bono clients and provide consultation to attorneys working on pro bono cases.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5-7 years of legal experience, including some experience in representing individuals of limited means or nonprofit organizations, general familiarity with poverty law, and some exposure or familiarity with global pro bono projects. A strong prior pro bono practice or experience with an organization that provides legal services to indigent individuals is helpful. Candidates must also possess strong project management and interpersonal skills. Travel will be required - approximately once per month (1-2 nights at a time) domestically, and 1-2 weeks at a time, likely a few times per year, for New Perimeter.
