US Job Description

The San Francisco office of Reed Smith is currently looking for a mid-level associate to join its growing West Coast finance team. The team is part of Reed Smith's Financial Industry Group (FIG), which brings together attorneys across Reed Smith's global platform to support clients in the financial sector. Candidates should have at least 4-5 years of substantive securitization, structured finance, syndicated lending and/or credit transactions experience, with preference given to candidates with both structured finance and lending experience.

Candidates must also have strong writing and analytical skills, experience handling and managing multiple deals, and be able to serve as the lead associate on transactions, including coordinating with other associates and staff and acting as primary client contact. Candidate should possess strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school and be currently licensed to practice in California and/or New York. Prior experience at a major international law firm is also a definite plus.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit focused on growing and building client relationships, be self-motivated and willing to take on new tasks and types of transactions, and enjoy working in a team environment.
