The Senior Officer-Managing Executive position is located in the Office of the General Counsel located in Washington, DC and is open to US citizens.The Managing Executive position is located in the Office of the General Counsel and is responsible for managing all operational aspects of OGC, including organizational planning, human capital management, procurement, budgeting, administrative services, project management, and risk management.Typical duties include:Analyzing and distilling important business and operational information in order to accurately contribute to a number of office and agency reporting requirements. These include: current data on performance metrics, the annual management assurance statement, position requests, and a host of other ad-hoc reporting requirements related to the administrative and operational office and/or functions.Representing the office on key agency governance committees responsible for evaluating agency financial, IT, and enterprise risk operations.Participating with appropriate organizational components across the agency in planning and evaluating the overall program of the Commission.Developing, conceiving, planning, and implementing policies and guidelines affecting broad, emerging, and/or critical office-wide programs. Translating new requirements or priorities into program goals, actions, and policies. Helping the office respond to the impact the changing regulatory environment may have on staffing and organizational needs.Developing and implementing programmatic or new strategic initiatives, proposing policy recommendations on matters concerning the business and infrastructural support of OGC.Analyzing complex problems and devising innovative solutions, including applying project management principles, supervising, monitoring and evaluating projects, and resolving difficult problems related to planning, development and operations.Overseeing strategic planning, management reporting and systems monitoring.Conditions of Employment:You must possess a J.D. or LL.B Degree.You must be an active member of the bar in good standing.CITIZENSHIP: This position is open to US Citizens.
