Senior Associate: Employee Benefits (Executive Compensation)

Epstein Becker & Green is seeking an attorney to work at the level of a senior associate to join its national Employee Benefits practice. The office location is flexible, and we will consider candidates to be affiliated with any of the following office locations: Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Nashville, TN; Newark, NJ; Princeton, NJ: St. Petersburg, FL; or Washington, DC. Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of knowledge of/experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, specifically in areas of executive compensation, design and implementation of equity-based compensation, nonqualified deferred compensation. Section 409A, Section 280G, securities, executive employment agreements, executive severance agreements and change in control agreements, and employee benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions/downsizing. Experience with profits interests, partnership tax, global equity compensation and private equity a plus. Candidates with some or a combination of experience in these areas are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have prior executive compensation experience and exhibit the highest level of legal and practical problem-solving skills, strong oral presentation, and client relations acumen. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials and have excellent communication and writing skills especially distilling complex matters into easy to understand, actionable advice, and substantial research experience.
