REGULATORY OFFICER 3 POSTING #2023-098 ISSUE DATE: 04/20/2023 CLOSING DATE: 05/18/2023 RANGE TITLE CODE: R32/61649 Salary: $96,099.57/$137,348.82 UNIT SCOPE: Statewide Public/Private Location: Office of Legal and Regulatory Services 1 John Fitch Way, Trenton, NJ 08625 Workweek: NL #Vacancies: 1 JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction of an Executive Director in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, assists with respect to complex regulatory matters, formal and informal, both legislative and quasi-judicial in nature, including matters related directly to administrative procedure and policy matters considered by the department’s or agency’s regulatory duties; does related work as required. Civil Service Commission Requirements (Education/Experience/Licenses): *THIS POSITION IS PENDING GOVERNOR’S OFFICE AND CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION APPROVAL* EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience in conducting legal research, analyzing and evaluating legal documents, rules, regulations, and/or legislation, or the review and analysis of Regulatory matters in a government agency; or four (4) years of experience as an attorney, three (3) of which must have been in conducting legal research, analyzing and evaluating legal documents, rules, regulations, and/or legislation, or the review and analysis of regulatory matters in a government agency. LICENSE: Appointee must be eligible to practice as an Attorney-At-Law in the State of New Jersey. Appointee must possess a current Certificate of Good Standing issued by the New Jersey Board of Bar Examiners, or other license to practice law issued by any state in the United States. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
