SummaryEstablished, boutique Washington, D.C. firm has an immediate opening for an Senior Associate attorney to join the firm’s expanding business and tax practice group. The Senior Associate will provide support to the firm’s business transactions practice, including the areas of mergers & acquisitions; corporate, LLC, and partnership formation; corporate governance agreements; employment agreements; employee benefits; commercial leasing transactions; and other commercial transactional representation. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and/or the District of Columbia (and, if not admitted in the District of Columbia, must be eligible to waive into the District of Columbia bar) possessing at least four years of law firm experience in the areas of business and tax law, with knowledge and substantive background in tax structuring and planning, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, business transactions (including mergers and acquisitions), and corporate governance/ownership agreements. This position requires excellent research and writing skills. An LL.M. in taxation or comparable tax-related work experience is highly preferred. The firm offers a generous benefits package.
