This position processes or oversees the preparation and filing of legal documents; schedules meetings; calendars litigation deadlines; maintains calendars; makes travel arrangements; composes and formats legal documents; and stays abreast of changes to court rules, regulations or proceedings.*Official title: Executive Secretary II. A variety of shopping and business opportunities abound, in this, the largest County in the contiguous United States.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTPre-employment Process: Applicants must pass a background check, which includes fingerprinting and physical exam, prior to appointment.Minimum RequirementsExperience: Two and a half (2 ½) years of recent full-time equivalent secretarial work experience in support of professional or administrative position(s) where duties included calendaring, scheduling meetings, composing correspondence, maintaining files and records, preparing agendas, and taking minutes, of which (1) year of full-time work experience must include preparing and processing legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and motions under an attorney's supervision. Experience must be within the past five (5) years.NOTE: Duties must be clearly described in the work history section in order to be considered. Internships, Clerkships and Student experience is not considered qualifying work experience.--AND--Typing: 50 w.p.m. corrected typing speed.Note: Qualifying experience is typically equivalent to the San Bernardino County Secretary I classification and above.
