Kaye Scholer is seeking an associate with 5+ years of experience in the international private client area. Ideally, the candidate will have an LLM of Taxation and will have experience in IRS voluntary disclosures, FIRPTA, expatriation, pre-immigration tax planning, foreign grantor trust planning, controlled foreign corporations and passive foreign investment companies. The candidate must possess strong academic credentials and excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

The Kaye Scholer Private Clients team counsels individuals, their families, family offices and closely held businesses. To help our clients achieve their family planning and dispositive goals, we address family governance and related issues, and mitigate exposure to tax, both for current and future generations. Our role often involves structuring clients’ business affairs and family investments, investing in financial products, using trusts and other vehicles to structure investments, and dealing with tax issues arising from life-changing events such as marriage, divorce or death, on a U.S. and global basis.
