Associate Attorney (Middletown)
Kent & McBride, P.C. a Civil Defense litigation firm in Middletown, NJ seeks to Associate Attorney for its ever-growing practice:
One (1) Associate Attorney 3-5 years General Litigation experience
This position requires reporting to the office but does allow work remotely from home when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Gather evidence, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments.
- Make Court appearances and argue cases.
- Draft Motion papers and Appellate Briefs.
- Bench trials.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Work independently and in teams to complete projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree. Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey; NY Bar a plus.
- Ability to stay organized and meet rigid deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Courtroom experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening, negotiation, persuasion).
- Excellent analytical skills (i.e., critical thinking, problem solving, decision making).
- Well-developed written communication skills.
