Our client, a large provider of professional liability insurance, has exclusively engaged us to identify a highly qualified litigation/trial consultant to help lead their newly launched in-house litigation defense team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading efforts to optimize the legal representation provided to policy owners and insureds in medical malpractice lawsuits. This includes, but is not limited to: identifying and recommending the most effective case theories, litigation strategies, and trial tactics; conducting jury research and mock trials; improving defendant preparation and coaching; and developing new jury understanding and selection processes. Candidates holding a Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Psychology or related science are preferred. JD’s with 5+ years of experience in trial consulting will also be considered. Experience working with trial presentation software, such as Trial Director, is required. Preferred experience in litigation support at a law firm or support vendor with focus on trial optimization.
