Associate Attorney (Middletown)

Kent & McBride, P.C. a Civil Defense litigation firm in Middletown, NJ seeks to an Associate Attorney for its ever-growing practice:One (1) Associate Attorney 3-5 years General Litigation experienceThis position requires reporting to the office but does allow work remotely from home when necessary.Responsibilities:- Gather evidence, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments.- Make Court appearances and argue cases.- Draft Motion papers and Appellate Briefs.- Bench trials.- Negotiate settlements.- Work independently and in teams to complete projects.Minimum Qualifications:- Juris Doctor degree. Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey; NY Bar a plus.- Ability to stay organized and meet rigid deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:- Courtroom experience.- Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening, negotiation, persuasion).- Excellent analytical skills (i.e., critical thinking, problem solving, decision making).- Well-developed written communication skills.KM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
