Our client, a large provider of professional liability insurance, has engaged us to identify qualified candidates for an immediate opening they have with their expanding claims team. Desired candidates will have 2+ years of medical malpractice experience. The hired professional will: investigate and manage litigation and selected high-exposure pre-litigation claims assigned; recommend defense or settlement of claims assigned; develop litigation plan with defense counsel; present cases before Claims Committee; and provide case direction and proper resolution of assigned claims. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), along with an exceptional business acumen, and a team-oriented approach are critical for success in this position. Candidates coming from either a law firm or in-house insurance environment will be considered. The hire can be fully remote or sit in Atlanta. Note, competitive candidates will have previous experience handling medical malpractice matters in one or more of the following states: Arizona, California, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, or Texas.
