Associate Attorney (Middletown) Kent & McBride, P.C. a Civil Defense litigation firm in Middletown, NJ seeks an Associate Attorney for its ever-growing practice: • One (1) Associate Attorney 3-7 years General Litigation experience • This position requires reporting to the office but does allow work remotely from home when necessary. Responsibilities: • Gather evidence, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments. • Make Court appearances and argue cases. • Draft Motion papers and Appellate Briefs. • Bench trials. • Negotiate settlements. • Work independently and in teams to complete projects. Minimum Qualifications: • Juris Doctor degree. Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey; NY Bar a plus. • Ability to stay organized and meet rigid deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: • Courtroom experience. • Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening, negotiation, persuasion). • Excellent analytical skills (i.e., critical thinking, problem solving, decision making). • Well-developed written communication skills.
