The Washington DC office of Squire Patton Boggs, a global law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join our Energy Projects practice. Our energy practice has long been recognized for its comprehensive and innovative approach to the energy industry and its participation in nearly every major energy initiative of the past several decades, from the development of cross-border natural gas pipelines to ground-breaking liquefied natural gas terminals as well as renewable energy power plants throughout the world.

Qualified candidates will have at least 4 years of experience structuring, negotiating and documenting energy project agreements such as engineering, procurement and construction contracts and operation and maintenance agreements as well as corporate transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures. Must be admitted to a US state bar and be in good standing. Admission to DC is expected if not currently admitted. The candidate must have excellent academic credentials and superior organizational, writing, and communication skills. Demonstrated fluency in both written and spoken Spanish is strongly preferred.
