U.S. District Court, Northern District of GeorgiaAttorney Advisor (Vacancy #24-19)Salary Range: $103,298 - $129,134Overview: The United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia seeks an intellectually curious and highly motivated individual to serve as an attorney advisor for the clerk’s office. This position reports directly to the clerk of court and involves providing legal advice regarding court operations; ensuring compliance with statutes, rules, policies, and procedures; and conducting internal audits of clerk’s office operations.Representative Duties:Conduct legal research and provide advice on policy and procedure for the clerk’s office and the Court.Monitor and interpret changes to statutes, regulations, and judiciary policy.Draft and update rules, policies, procedures, and forms.Prepare responses to surveys and requests for information from stakeholders.Serve as the primary Employment Dispute Resolution (EDR) Coordinator and oversee attorney disciplinary actions.Develop and present training programs.Qualifications:Juris doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to a bar.Four years of progressively responsible specialized experience in law practice, legal research, or legal administration.Strong analytical, communication, legal research, and writing skills.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer-assisted legal research.Preferred Qualifications:Top third of law school class and participation in moot court, mock trial, law review, or similar activities.Experience with employment law and knowledge of court operations.Federal judiciary experience.Application: To view the full vacancy announcement, qualifications, and application instructions, visit https://www.gand.uscourts.gov/sites/gand/files/24-19AttorneyAdvisor.pdf.
