Brief Description:

The Los Angeles office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a highly qualified associate with 3 years of relevant experience to join our high-profile Trademark and Copyright practice group in our Litigation Division. Also interested in more senior candidates looking for flexible hours.

The Trademark and Copyright practice group represents clients in a wide range of industries, including entertainment, fashion, and other consumer product areas in all aspects of trademark and copyright practice including clearance, trademark prosecution, licensing, inter parties proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, litigation in U.S. Federal District Courts, copyright registration, and ICANN Domain Dispute proceedings.

Requirements:

• Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of trademark clearance and prosecution including complex office actions
• 3 years minimum experience in TTAB proceedings and trademark/copyright litigation
• Solid litigation skills, such as handling discovery, drafting pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Transactional experience welcomed
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Excellent writing, research and communication skills
• Able to work well in a team
• California Bar Membership in good standing
