Aviation Associate - Washington, D.C.

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Washington, D.C. office for an aviation associate in the litigation department. The ideal candidate will have three to four years of litigation experience in the aviation, transportation, and/or government contracts industries. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position at this time. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.Experience drafting and arguing motions and taking and defending depositions.Experience in aviation, transportation, and/or government contracts industries.Strong research skills, writing skills, and academic record are required.Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic litigation team. Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. Physical RequirementsSedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Visual AcuityWorker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Compensation & BenefitsThe salary range for this position applies to Washington, DC. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $205,000 – $230,000.
