Senior Staff Associate I This position will collaborate with the Director and Research Staff of the Center for Public Research & Leadership (CPRL) to execute the Center’s applied research agenda to provide a robust development process to prepare public sector–oriented early professionals for leadership and management positions in public- and social-sector organizations undertaking and supporting transformational change in P-12 education and in the public sector as a whole. The incumbent will work both independently and collaboratively to solve a broad range of complex problems related to CPRL’s external projects, and exercise judgment based on their analysis and experience. This is a two-year position. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, education, humanities, or social sciences) · 6–10 years of relevant experience; or at least 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree from a two-year program (e.g., MBA, MA, MS, MEd); or at least 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree from a three-or-more-year program (e.g., PhD, JD) · Minimum 2 years of related experience in management consulting, organizational leadership, program design or evaluation, research, and/or other relevant area · Demonstrated ability to design, direct, and carry out projects with minimal supervision and to work closely with stakeholders in public sector or nonprofit agencies · Intellectual capacity to think strategically in a fast-paced environment; understand multiple perspectives; learn about new topics; problem solve and develop responsive solutions under changing circumstances · Ability to respond to and integrate feedback from both peers and supervisors; ability to communicate feedback to individuals and teams in a clear and productive manner · Excellent interpersonal, organizational, project management, and communication skills · Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills · Keen attention to detail · Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel · Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment Preferred Qualifications: · Alumnus/a of CPRL’s Public Policy Seminar and Practicum · Quantitative or qualitative research skills · Experience as a P-12 teacher or experience teaching/mentoring young professionals To apply for this position, please go to: https://apply.interfolio.com/155881 Salary Range: $90,000–$100,000 a year. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
