Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PMHours Per Week: 35General Responsibilities:Under the supervision of the Director of Legal Services or their designee, responsible for the provision of legal services to eligible individuals and groups; maintains caseload; represents clients before courts and administrative agencies; provides legal advice, assistance and negotiation. Supervises and trains students and new attorneys as appropriate. Maintains required records.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Provides a full range of legal services in a competent and timely manner. These services include:Administrative hearings before public and private agencies and authoritiesLitigations in state and federal courtsAppellate practiceDrafting pleadings and other legal documentsObtaining and reviewing documents and recordsLegal research and writingNegotiating and settling mattersInterviewing clients and providing appropriate adviceReferral to other sources of legal assistanceWorks with students, Title V and volunteer staff;Participates in staff meetings, training seminars and community activities both virtually and in person, including evenings;Provides legal information, education and assistance to social workers, senior centers and community agencies both virtually and in person including evenings as needed;Maintains required case records, reports and statistics in a timely and complete manner;Reassess clients’ needs on an ongoing basis and revises case plans as appropriate; andHandles special assignments and duties and other tasks as assigned.Requirements:Ability to handle large individual caseload.Graduate of accredited law school with J.D.
