Gwinnett County State Court is seeking an attorney to assist the Judge by conducting a variety of legal research, analysis, and document preparation related to cases, statues, records, and related information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Research and draft proposed opinions, orders, memoranda, jury charges (civil and criminal), and legal correspondence.Provide legal advice and opinions to Judge and court staff.Prepare legal summaries of facts and arguments for cases brought before the court.Assist with all aspects of civil case management.Directly manage all civil jury, bench, and oral argument calendars, and assist with other civil calendars.Assist Judge with periodic projects as directed.Respond to inquiries from interested parties. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Juris DoctorateMember in good standing with the State Bar of GeorgiaMinimum four years of previous judicial staff experience or six years major civil litigation experienceStrong writing skillsSignificant civil experience required
