The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has stayed the preliminary injunction issued on December 3, 2024, in the Texas Top Cop Shop case by a U.S. District Court. As a result, the original beneficial ownership reporting requirements of the CTA are back in place. The nationwide preliminary stay barring enforcement of the CTA Reporting Rule, including enforcement of the January 1, 2025, compliance deadline for companies existing as of January 1, 2024, was lifted by the Court of Appeals....
