High drama in Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) world: The latest saga involving the CTA commenced with the case of Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc., et al. v. Garland, et al., where a federal district court judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Dec. 3, 2024, ordered a nationwide preliminary injunction on enforcement of the CTA and related regulations (even though neither party had asked for a nationwide injunction) and suspended the reporting deadlines....
