Haynes and Boone is seeking patent associates and agents with 2-4 years patent prosecution experience to join our Austin office. The professionals will join our group of experienced attorneys representing large, mid-size, and startup companies in a wide range of advanced technologies. Candidates must have at least a BS in electrical engineering, computer science or computer engineering, and have well-developed skills in patent application preparation and prosecution. Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree (MS or PhD electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline) and will have experience in conducting validity and infringement assessments. Experience with networking/communications, web-centric software, virtualization, information security, RF, signal processing, digital or mixed signal circuits and/or semiconductor devices is preferred. Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent writing skills and should enjoy working with others in a team-oriented setting.
