Winston & Strawn is seeking to hire an associate to join our real estate practice in our Chicago office. Responsibilities may include: a) performing due diligence for transactions, including reviewing title, survey and other due diligence deliverables; b) negotiating and preparing transaction documents; and c) coordinating closing matters with clients as well as title companies, surveyors and other third parties. Experience in real estate purchases, sales, financing, and leasing is required. Experience in representing lenders, equity investors and developers is preferable.

As an attorney in the real estate practice, you will be an integral member of the department, and will gain meaningful experience working with our attorneys and our Fortune 500 clients. Qualifications include:

JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with current admission in Illinois;
Excellent academic credentials;
2-4 years prior Real Estate experience;
Previous law firm experience;
Excellent legal research and writing skills;
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment;
Ability to provide excellent client service;
Strong organizational and analytical skills;
Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
