Cooley LLP has opportunities available in the New York Office of its preeminent, internationally recognized Emerging Companies practice; associates with three to five years of experience working with private and publicly-held emerging growth, high technology and life science companies are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have: (i) extensive experience in representing private, venture-backed companies, (ii) significant exposure to drafting, negotiating and managing all aspects of venture financing transactions; (ii) substantive knowledge of and experience with capital markets transactions, including IPOs, and mergers and acquisitions; (iii) experience in managing client relationships and handling the day-to-day requirements and work flow requirements of a variety of clients in different stages of development, (iv) experience working at a comparable law firm within an Emerging Companies Practice or the corporate department of a leading national law firm; and (iv) have a high level of academic achievement from a law school institution.
