The global law firm of K&L Gates seeks to hire an associate for their Charlotte office’s Finance group. This associate would also help support the Corporate group on acquisition financings for our private equity and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage bank and acquisition finance transactions but also be flexible enough to manage M&A and general corporate work from time to time. The candidate will focus their practice on commercial lending, corporate finance and private equity and mezzanine financing. They will represent both lenders and borrowers in connection with the negotiation of secured and unsecured syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loans and acquisition financings. We require outstanding academic credentials, excellent oral and written communication skills, a commitment to providing the highest quality client service, and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Our associates work closely with experienced lawyers who provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice is preferred. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic contributor to the Firm and office culture, and have a collaborative approach to his/her work environment.
