The global law firm of K&L Gates seeks to hire an associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join their dynamic Investment Management Practice Group.

The ideal candidate will have as many of the following attributes as possible:

• Significant regulatory experience with the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act. Regulatory experience with the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA rules would also be helpful.
• Experience with drafting the primary registration and disclosure documents used by investment companies and investment advisers.
• Familiarity with the day-to-day operations of mutual funds, investment advisers, and related service providers. Experience with ETFs a plus.
• Experience with compliance issues facing investment companies and investment advisers.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills, including the ability to draft corporate documents and persuasive arguments.
• A collegial and team-oriented approach toward problem-solving.
