Job Description

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, a Michigan-based law firm with approximately 230 attorneys, is seeking an attorney for its Insurance Department in the Detroit office. This position is appropriate for attorneys with two or more years of experience in a transactional practice, including, but not limited to, insurance, corporate, or healthcare. The position generally involves the structuring, formation and general representation of captive insurance companies and other alternative risk financing programs and associated insurance regulatory, tax, corporate and policy interpretation services for such insurance companies.

Desired Skills and Experience

Applicants must have significant experience in drafting and document review, excellent credentials, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, willingness to travel regularly within and outside of the United States and a solid rationale for practicing law in Michigan. Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry is helpful but not required.
