Carlton Fields Jorden Burt is seeking a first or second year Intellectual Property (IP) associate. The ideal candidate will have completed an IP-focused JD or LLM program and will have passed the patent bar or will be patent bar eligible. The ideal candidate will also have an electrical, electronic or computer background and will have had some technology experience prior to attending law school. Excellent academic credentials, demonstrated writing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, practical judgment, and a business-focus in solving problems are required. The position will require an interest not only in patent and trademark prosecution, but also in assisting clients with IP transactional and litigation matters. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while being able to work individually, on client matters in an environment where drive and client service are valued are a plus.
