Job Description:

We are seeking to hire an experienced associate to join our national housing tax credit practice. The position is based in Nixon Peabody's Boston office, but qualified candidates residing in Chicago, New York City, or Washington, DC will be considered.

The attorneys in Nixon Peabody’s Tax Credit Finance & Syndication Practice Group partner with our clients to structure their present and future tax credit transactions. From housing and new markets to historic preservation and renewable energy, no firm has a deeper bench of well-connected industry experts.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of transactional experience working with the low-income housing tax credit program. The successful candidate will work primarily with our Low Income Housing Tax Credit team focusing on community development and revitalization, particularly on structuring and closing investments that use tax credit incentives as a means of financing projects in underserved communities across the country. Knowledge of real estate finance, government incentive programs, partnerships and limited liability companies, and an aptitude for analyzing financial projections are a plus. Real estate transactional experience is welcomed but not required.Qualified candidates will be motivated self-starters with stellar academic credentials, superb communication and writing skills, a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
