The Seattle office of Perkins Coie LLP seeks an attorney with two to four years of relevant experience to work with our Advertising, Marketing and Promotions group and Trademark, Copyright, Media & Brand Protection practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of truth-in-advertising, consumer protection and IP, including reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issues; counseling on contest and sweepstakes compliance; drafting and negotiating ad agency, endorsement, sponsorship, and other marketing and promotion agreements; advising on false advertising and unfair competition disputes; and clearing and prosecuting trademarks and copyrights.

Our nationally-ranked Trademark, Copyright, Media & Brand Protection practice is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Our attorneys in our Advertising, Marketing and Promotions practice assist clients in planning for and executing advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns that comply with complex and rapidly changing state and federal laws. We also defend companies accused by consumers, competitors or regulatory agencies of violating these laws. Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a group and independently are important characteristics. Successful candidates will have strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills. Experience in a large law firm setting is also preferred.
