The Intellectual Property Group in our Chicago office seeks a patent associate with two to five years of experience to join its growing Intellectual Property Practice Group. Preferred candidates will have patent litigation experience at a law firm and some patent prosecution experience is preferred, but not required. Strong academics and writing skills are essential. Ideal candidates will have a technical background, particularly in the fields of computer science and electrical engineering. USPTO registration is also preferred, but not required. Our associates are valued members of our teams, gaining early responsibility and experience. Typical responsibilities will include drafting pleadings and discovery, working directly with clients during all aspects of the case, preparing and attending depositions and hearings and trial work.
