Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP seeks a staff attorney for its Affordable Housing Practice Group in Detroit, Michigan. This position is appropriate for an attorney having not less than two years of experience in drafting documents with respect to the acquisition, structuring, development, syndication, financing and management of market-rate and affordable housing developments (including Section 42 and HAP projects), which involve, among other things, financing provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, other governmental agencies, agency lenders and others. Experienceclosing construction or permanent loans under the 538 USDA loan program with corresponding state housing bond financing is also desirable.Candidates must have a strong record of academic achievement, excellent professional references and strong organizational and analytical skills.
