Carlton Fields Jorden Burt is seeking a first or second year Intellectual Property (IP) associate. The ideal candidate will have completed an IP-focused JD or LLM program, and will have a keen interest in trademark prosecution, information technology contracts, and assisting clients with IP transactional matters. The ideal candidate will also have an electrical, electronic or computer background and will have had some technology experience prior to attending law school. Excellent academic credentials, demonstrated writing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, practical judgment, and a business-focus in solving problems are required. Also required are strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team in an environment where drive and client service are valued. Passage of the patent bar or being patent bar eligible would be a plus.
