Job Description:

Reed Smith's Real Estate Group seeks an associate to join the firm's Pittsburgh office. Successful candidates will have 4+ years of real estate experience, strong oral and writing skills, and superior academic credentials. Specific oil and gas skills include the following:

Position rendering oil and gas title opinions by review of relevant instruments related to surface, mineral and leasehold ownership of land situated throughout the state of Pennsylvania and other jurisdictions where licensed.
Set forth deficiencies and objections to title and the requirements to cure such deficiencies.
Analyze title deficiencies, develop curative strategies and perform curative work related to oil and gas mineral title, working with attorneys and land owners, drafting affidavits and other documents, and preparing abstracts of surface and mineral title ownership.
Prepare instruments of conveyance of oil and gas rights and estates.
