Weiss, J.D., Ph.D. is Professor of Law and Society at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where her research area is gender identity and law. Ms. Weiss has authored over 50 academic publications, presentations and other scholarly works, as well as approximately 40 articles and interviews for media organizations including The New York Times and Associated Press. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund (http://lambdalegal.org), the nation's largest and oldest LGBT legal service organization. She also provides training and consulting services for private and public employers regarding transgender employees and policies affecting them. She is a member of the National LGBT Bar Association, and Chair of the Planning Committee for its annual Transgender Law Institute.
